The challenge
Designing a compliant loan flow for Mexico — collecting all necessary data, handling multiple partner APIs, and guiding first-time users with a clear, fault-tolerant UX
Landing page
/ First screen drivers see when applying for a loan
/Entry point for all marketing channels (push, banners, WhatsApp)
/Fully localized: Spanish copy, local terms, modular layout

One example of what I improved
Many users entered incorrect or third-party bank details —
often confused by the screen layout, unclear instructions, or lack of validation. As a result, payouts failed, loans were delayed, and support requests increased
Old version
/ No clear guidance on which account to use
/ Bank name was not auto-detected from CLABE
/ Users had to manually enter full name, causing mismatches
/Field labels and helper text weren’t specific enough
New version
/ Clear instruction: enter your personal CLABE to receive money
/ After backend grooming, we enabled bank name auto-detection by CLABE prefix
/ Added contextual tips to avoid third-party or incorrect accounts
/ Reduced friction by removing full name field
Impact
The redesigned screen reduced incorrect CLABE entries by 32%, cut payout-related support tickets by 21%, and increased first-attempt submission success by 18%

(we listen before we design)

Instead of building custom UI for every partner, I created one flow with dynamic states and fallback handling — reducing design & dev time across regions
